Why They Needed Social Chimp:
Diaz Farms is a family produce farm in southern New Mexico. They specialize in growing chile, onions, and other produce specific to their area. Diaz Farms had already created brand recognition locally, but wanted to grow their sales outside of New Mexico.

Social Chimp’s Solution:
We were tasked to create an online store where Diaz Farms could sell fresh green chile, and other chile products to chile-lovers around the country who couldn’t easily find these products.

An e-commerce store is easy to set up these days, and one idea would be to try to grow the site through SEO. But we saw an opportunity to create brand awareness, and community around the brand and core products by driving sales through social media.

In January 2010, five months before the official site launched, we set off to Facebook and Twitter to build communities around Diaz Farms’ core products. We created New Mexico Green Chile, New Mexico Red Chile, and Diaz Farms channels, and within five months they were able to build a combined following of 1000 fans.

This fan base helped to build buzz around the products, and once the site launched in August 2010, DiazFarms.com instantly had hundreds of sales from around the United States.

Now three years later, Diaz Farms has thriving social media communities, with a following of over 10,000 active Twitter and Facebook fans from around the world. These communities contribute to huge growth year to year for their e-commerce site, and Diaz Farms has now shipped chile to every state in America.

OfficeSearch.net

Why They Needed Social Chimp:
OfficeSearch.net is a tenant rep service for businesses throughout the United States and major international cities. OfficeSearch.net’s main goal is to help people find the perfect office space at the best price. They asked us to help determine a social media strategy that would find people around the world who were actively looking for office space and reach out to them.

Social Chimp’s Solution:
We identified Twitter as an effective way to listen to key markets and connect with people looking for office space. Through these social media efforts OfficeSearch.net saw an increase in lead generation. Later we identified the opportunity to utilize digital classifieds and other online marketing.

Through Social Chimp’s efforts, OfficeSearch.net continues to see an increase in lead generation and countines to connect daily with potential tenants on Twitter and other digital networks.

Austin Restaurant Week

Why They Needed Social Chimp:
Austin Restaurant Week is one of Austin’s most popular food events. During bi-annual Austin Restaurant Week, locals are encouraged to go out and experience the city’s fine dining at a discount while giving back to the community. Austin Restaurant Week needed someone to lead their social media efforts to generate more support for the event.

Social Chimp’s Solution:
During the fall of 2012, Social Chimp was brought into the organization to head up its social media. Our goal was to connect with their existing social media communities, gain exposure for the event, and educate people about how Austin Restaurant Week was helping Meals on Wheels and More.

We connected with the already establish social media communities through creative content, promotions and contests. In the month that Social Chimp ran Austin Restaurant Week social media, it saw an increase of 4,000 new Facebook fans and 2,000 new Twitter followers. Also at the same time Social Chimp grew the Meals on Wheels and More Facebook page by 500 new fans.

Social Chimp continues to manage Austin Restaurant Week’s social media and looks to further grow its community and outreach for its upcoming events.

Wolfgang Career Services

Why They Needed Social Chimp:
Wolfgang Career Services is an Austin based career services firm that focuses on helping professionals determine their career goals and meet them. They were looking for someone to better manage their daily social media and engage with the Austin community.

Social Chimp’s Solution:
We began to reach out to Austin job seekers on Google+, Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin. Through our social media efforts, we have now generated many new leads and connected Wolfgang Career Services with the Austin community.

TacoPollo.com

Why They Needed Social Chimp:
TacoPollo.com is a taco review site and taco directory in the Austin area and has plans to expand to other major cities. Austin is known for its tacos, and Taco Pollo is on a mission to find the best tacos and report back to the community. Social Chimp started this project out of our own desire to find the most delicious tacos in Austin and share our discoveries with others.

Social Chimp’s Solution:
Since we started Taco Pollo we have eaten at some amazing Austin taco vendors and restaurants and continue to search the city for the best tacos. Through our ability to create delicious content, monitor social networks and connect with people talking about tacos in Austin, Taco Pollo has become a popular taco resource for the community.

Lauren Silva Music LLC

Why They Needed Social Chimp:
Lauren Silva is an Austin and L.A. based R&B and Soul singer. She has played sold out arenas around the country as well as at intimate local spots, and worked along some of the greatest musicians in the industry. Most recently she performed and was nominated for Best Pop Song of the Year at the Hollywood Music in Media awards. Since Lauren was gaining such popularity in the music community, she needed someone to help her better connect with her growing fan base.

Social Chimp’s Solution:
Social Chimp was hired to run the digital and social media strategy for Lauren Silva Music. We work to connect her with her fans, tell her story, promote her shows, and her music. In the time that Social Chimp has worked with Lauren, she has seen a dramatic increase in social media interaction with her fans, a more consistent social strategy, and overall a more professional and organized digital presence. Thai-Foodie.com

Why They Needed Social Chimp:
Thai-Foodie.com is a Thai cooking blog started by Sherri Phengchard. She shares Thai cooking tips, Thai recipes and stories about her Thai husband and Thai-American son. Sherri wanted to start a Thai cooking site after her friends kept asking for her Thai recipes and after realizing there weren’t many good Thai cooking websites out there.

Social Chimp’s Solution:
She asked Social Chimp for help in creating a website and building up Thai-Foodie’s social media. We set to work building her a site that would emulate her desire to have a fun cooking site that is easy to follow. We also gave her advice in creating social networking accounts and how to build a community that would draw in Thai food lovers. Through the Social Chimp’s social media strategy Thai-Foodie has new visitors every day, and is constantly gaining new fans on its social networks.
